Seems to be quite a bit of hate for Marek, which I think is a bit harsh given his dedication to the game from a media perspective. He puts so much time into hockey and his knowledge and interview style with players/coaches is very strong and I actually enjoy listening to them.
He's one of the very few guys you can stomach these days, he's far from a homer in terms of his love for a certain team and one of how many who isn't drooling over the Oilers/McDavid on any given night.

I think this is a huge loss, I hope he finds a gig somewhere else in the hockey community. 32 thoughts is probably the premier podcast for hockey, I think he'll be missed but that's just my opinion.

Marek would ask his usual 4 minute long questions, the guest would have a 10 second answer before MacLean would interrupt and go on some poetic tangent about small town Newfoundland in the 60s and then Marek would pull out another “what is the old saying…”.

Then picture it with Frank as their regular…

Maybe he'll land someplace where him and Wyshynski can do a podcast again.
