Not necessarily the reason why,
However with high-end coaching a benefit is that the guy would probably be proactive enough to make sure the team is sharper early after seeing them slack a couple times.
Ward just seems resigned to these starts.

Slow start by both teams. Thought the Flames took over towards the end of the period until they took that penalty but the PK looked good. Rittich with a solid period.
