Pretty bad beat down. Now come home and face the best player in the NHL.

I also hope this is a nightmare we wake up from when Pospisil and Zary come back and give Kadri back his powers. Pachal-Kylington also got owned. Lots for Huska to work on down the stretch.
The Flames lost to SJ and Chicago with those guys in the lineup...I think you are reading too much into a road game against a top team.

We can lose to Montreal too.

I dunno....these last 2 games were the worst the Flames have looked in 5 or 6 years IMO.

Not a very good club at this point and they proved it this weekend.

To be expected though after the massive and permanent upheaval of the last couple weeks

Oof. I am a big advocate of the rebuild but it sure isn’t fun losing like this. Hoping when it’s over that there will be years of success.

Houston (important city) we have a problem
We have some decent forward prospects and some veteran forwards who take too many nights off
We have 2 top 4 defenseman
We have a backup goalie who is starting to go foul, a veteran that we need to move soon and a rookie who’s been unable to show his NHL ability

I’m not even gonna mention a ticket buying fan base that shown weakness for a losing product

But
Here’s to hoping. Are we at the bottom yet?

The bottom is about to fall out in a big way.

33% of the blue line are regular NHLers.

Dominik Hasek couldn’t win with that.

Gotta disagree with the bolded...i dont recall many nights that the effort wasnt there....though that loss to SJ would be in that category.

They are simply outmanned in many areas against some teams. The last 2 particularly.

A defense that's never practiced with the team before on a back-to-back against two of the best teams in the league. Add in the daylight savings time change and playing on the road.

If there was ever a time to cut the Flames some slack, this game is probably it.

...but this is also what happens when you assemble a defense with two #2 d (Andersson/Weegar), a #5 d (Kylington), and three #7/8 d (everyone else).

Huska is probably going to have to take a page of the Tourigny & Euro League playbook by rolling 7 defenseman a game so that the defense isn't getting over-exposed.

Under 6 weeks left in this season.
Take a pain now and hopefully we draft someone to be very excited about.

This is our tattoo session; short term pain for long term result.

Yesterday wasn't one of their worst games in 5 or 6 years guy, come on. Panthers goalie kept it a 4 goal game, scoring chances were even.

They lost to SJ and Chicagos AHL team like a month ago.
"Flames googles" is such an argument loser response
