To me it gets wasted when it’s not used in actual big matches.

For something like last week for the Thunder Rosa vs Britt Baker fued I’m all for the big spots and payoff to what was a year long story in the end. (Although I’d argue AEW is leveraging the old blade a little excessively) Giving that match away for free on Dynamite, and having the big spots was great.

But I don’t think having Jeff Hardy jump off the building in a random 8 man tag match with little to no build on a random dynamite card is worth it. To me that’s where it’s just a big spot for the sake of having a big spot, and where it actually takes away from those types of spots in the future.

It takes a toll on these athletes bodies too, save it for the big spots. Jeff Hardy is on the record saying he wanted to use the Swanton less to help the toll it’s taken on his lower back and body. No reason to have him out here doing it from 12 feet up in a random mean nothing match.

Whenever Maryse is around the miz is always so much better

Sammy and Tay conti as an onscreen duo is having the opposite effect for both of them

Yup.

Honestly I feel like offscreen couples don’t tend to work onscreen in wrestling.

Miz and Maryse, Steph and HHH, Rusev & Lana have worked (to an extent)

But Seth and Becky failed, feel like the Edge/Beth Phoenix stuff hurt Edge’s return run a bit, Tay and Sammy hasn’t worked, not sure if Cody+Brandi ever worked in AEW, etc

Hopefully they resist the urge to combine Adam Cole and Britt Baker more than the fun passing hints they do now.

Tay and Sammy are the most annoying wrestling couple at the moment. They posted a 'just had sex' photo with the TNT title on Twitter.

I know they're doing it for the attention, but for two people who have complained about privacy and trolls, they sure like inviting more.

Also, anyone else think Sammy has limited appeal? O can't buy into this guys character or delivery.

Miz and Maryse is a very good couple onscreen, their work against Cena and Brie was great, especially the phony reality series had me killing myself at times. I think we tend to forget that at the start HHH and Steph was very good. They just threw it in our faces for too long. I'd add Edge and Lita was exceptionally well done as well. You know what one worked for just pure short term comedy. Rusev had a ton of chemistry with Summer Ray.

Tay doesn't need this stuff. I said when she was released by WWE, that she is a star in the making, had a ton of personality and was an under rated worker. I'm still a big fan of her, but yeah the couple stuff is bad.

I like what Adam Cole and Britt Baker do - they acknowledge their relationship, sometimes they play it up on screen, but they leave it at that. To me, it's an easy cop out to pair up couples indefinitely.

Now, odd-ball friendships on screen, I can do that any day - Booker T/Goldust was A+.

Ok, I don't watch WWE anything anymore, but this I gotta see . . . Vlad the Super Fan was a staple on WWF/E TV and has cult status among hardcore fans and the industry.

Maybe interesting, maybe not, but Windham Rotundo (The fiend) is in Dallas this weekend for Wrestlecon. He did a Ask me Anything segment and was very cryptic about his future in Wrestling. Especially how he wants to face Seth Rollin's again.

There's a rumor going around that Cody might back out. But that could just be to throw people off. It doesn't really make sense if he did already sign about a month ago.

If Cody isn't the opponent, The Fiend is probably one of the only other options that fans would actual pop for. Anyone else and it's a mediocre reaction at best.

Was mortified of him as a kid. U vs U at SS94 was so much fun.

I still don't know what I was thinking not going to WrestleMania the last time it was in Toronto. Hogan, The Rock and Undertaker are the three top guys I wanted to see live but never did and I could have in one event.

The first SmackDown they had in Winnipeg they teased him coming out but he didn't and there were rumors he was going to face Drew at SummerSlam in 2019 in Toronto but that didn't happen either.
