6-2, MacKinnon still giving 110%. Physical and pushing play forward. This makes me hope we can somehow get a top 5 pick in the next few years. Would be fun to cheer for an elite player that has the whole package and watch them develop before our eyes.

The Athletic had his ceiling as being a 3rd line center. How many times have you seen Edstrom? I only have seen him at the world juniors but there were a number of Swedish forwards who were much better than him. To my eye he was a solid 3rd liner on that Swedish team.

Top 5 isn’t good enough . To get a McKinnon you need a top 2 pick in a good draft year

I can live with 3-4 year of suck if we end up with 2 franchise players I can cheer for during the following decade +

Yeah I really wouldnt care. 1.5 buys a 7th dman these days.

They also have nobosy else on thay roster worh retaining, and evidently other trams are more than willing to chip in to retain.
