Bungalows have more privacy. Unless they are in a two store type neighborhood.
Going upstairs to get your kids clothes (few times a day) is not fun.
Keeping upstairs clean is harder. In a bungalow you walk by and clean as you go, in a two storey you need to make the effort to make that trip up every time you wanna clean. (does anyone every wanna clean?)
Bigger basement gives more potential to do what you want.
Just these few I though of right away.

I moved to a bi-level and I am a 2 story kind of guy but I don't know if I could switch back. It worked out really well while my wife was pregnant as well
Anytime your wife asks you to get something it is close by. My wife is notorious for asking me something then again as soon as I finish the first request. This was a huge pain in the 2 story.
Changing the babies diapers. Her room is right down the hall from the living room.
Getting a glass of water at night I no longer fall down the stairs while in a sleep haze.
