[GDT] Flames vs IceHogs - Friday Mar 27 @ 5:00pm (MDT)
Adirondack Flames (31-25-6-2) vs Rockford IceHogs (Chicago Blackhawks) (38-19-5-2)
#34 - Taylor Vause
Vause, an undrafted forward from Calgary, AB, is currently signed to an AHL contract with the Adirondack Flames after an impressive call-up from the Colorado Eagles earlier this year. Vause started his junior career in Swift Current playing out his entire 5 year WHL eligibility for the Bronco's. During his final year with the Broncos, Vause was named Capitan of team and won the 2011-12 Doug Wickenheiser Humanitarian of the Year award. Immediately upon finishing his final season with the Broncos, Vause signed an AHL contract with the Texas Stars and spent the next two season's playing for the Stars and their ECHL affiliate Idaho Steelheads. Vause played two games with the Stars during the 2013-14 Calder Cup Run and was a part of the Championship team and as such award a day with the Calder Cup which he brought back to Calgary. After finishing the season with the Stars, Vause signed with the Colorado Eagles of the ECHL and received an invite to the Adirondack Flames Training Camp where he caught the eye of coaches and earned a PTO and call-up on November 17th. Vause was signed to a Standard Player Contract on December 24th. In addition to playing hockey, Vause has shown skill in graphic design with both his hockey jersey designs and parody's featuring NHL players. He has designed (and worn while still an active player on the team) two jerseys for the Swift Current Broncos including a memorial jersey for the players killed in the infamous bus accident and one for the Colorado Eagles.

Like I keep saying, I really think he's the the new NHL goon where he's capable of getting into fights and defending his teammates, but can contribute regularly to the scoresheet as well.

I should have got off my rear to go to this game, since it's only an hour away, but I've heard that the Rockford arena isn't the friendliest to other teams fans (from people who live in Rockford.) Still would have been nice to see them without having to cover my ears from the shrieking school girls like the Wolves game.

Well it would have been awkward if you went to Rockford arena to watch this game because the game is in Adirondack.
