I hope they take a chance on Walters or Iuorio, both good offensively. Iuorio is a right handed shot too which we really need more of

Can somebody please help me understand how this process works, how do these guys decide where to go? Is it money, do they pick there favourite city, loyalty to team that first showed interest. It always seems to be so random to me.

Why is their still a decent number of them unsigned? Holding out or something

On an ELC money is limited so that only plays a small part. But there can be dozens of factors, from being liking a team, to knowing they will get playing time, to liking the direction of the club, to maybe even just liking the management team and/or coaches better. I'm are probably many more reasons but those are jut off the top of my head.

Pat Mullane signed with Chicago's AHL affiliate a few weeks ago.

I should add this bit from HF, not sure on how accurate it is:

Pat Mullane's a FA signing out of college, so any other NHL club, at any time, can sign him to an NHL contract. He's been a good scorer in college over the past couple years, so it wouldn't surprise me if another team signed him to a contract if Chicago isn't able to/doesn't want to give him an NHL contract.

Updated the list as the lack of transactions during training camp has led to boredom. Interesting to note of all the hyped prospects only a handful actually signed NHL deals. A few AHL deals, a couple to Europe, nothing to see here, move along.
