Well that Jordy contract was fine when it was signed. Can't predict a guy suffering a career altering knee injury. So with that in mind whoever overpays for him now is likely to regret it.

Even with the knee, he was on a #1 WR pace until Rodgers went down. I get why the Pack did this but at the same time I am surprised as they just cut Rodgers favorite downfield weapon. But losing Rodgers did really expose where Nelson is as a player.
Overall i'm pretty lukewarm on the Packers moves today. They did desperately need that big TE and it should improve their Red zone offense, which isn't great, but they really needed an athlete in the middle of the field and that isn't Graham. Considering i'm assuming that Graham is going to cost what they were paying Nelson I think this is almost a wash.
Still in big need of D help too, some of which will need to come via FA so hopefully their is a plan there. Would also expect a Rodgers extension will come soon and that should open up some cap space.

Is there any doubt that Jordy ends up in New England?

Releasing Jordy hurts...alot. Though it does give them over 10 million in cap space by doing so.

The #Titans are signing CB Malcolm Butler on a 5-year contract worth more than $61M with more than $30M guaranteed, source said. Wow.

I'm aware he isn't around. Just an ugly situation to leave. There aren't many teams against the cap like the Packers with as many holes and needs as They have

Browns are paying Chris Hubbard 37m over 5 years, 18m guaranteed.
Good for him, he filled in well as RT when Gilbert was suspended last season and is generally a reliable lineman that can play multiple positions. That being said, that seems like MASSIVE overpayment. They are betting hard on him being a starting RT with that kind of money, and I'm not sure he'll be able to provide that.

It was. Worst was actually his drafts which have yielded very little for the last 3-4 years.
but they can apparently open up 15 mill in cap space by extending Rodgers, which they will almost for sure do and they still have Rodgers and the most amount of picks of any team in the league. Still in good shape IMO.

The same Malcom Butler that pff graded out as average last season and was sat out in the Super Bowl? This isn't Richard Sherman, Patrick Peterson, or Aqib Talib in their prime. It's Malcom Butler. Oh man this is like NHL free agency madness.

They have 27 million in space...now.
http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/cap/
Cap space is not a real issue at all. Now, if they wanted to blow their brains out for a couple CB's and a LB...then sure, but GB has never been that kind of team.
They will be fine in regards to cap and filling holes.

If Rodgers doesnt fall to the pack, TT would have been shown the door a long time ago. most overrated GM out there, got lucky with 1 pick

What?
No team in the NFL had more of their own picks playing on the roster.
Yeah he missed the last couple years, but your comment is absurd.
people clamored for him to dabble in UFA for years, but he was almost entirely draft and develop.
Seems to have worked OK IMO.

Shame, sounded like him & the Saints were both eager for a reunion. But they just couldn't agree on salary

Still have to sign at least one CB and probably an outside LB/pass rusher.
Wouldn't be surprised to see them go after an experienced wide out as well.

Jets adding Teddy Bridgewater to the mix;
http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/2...-year-contract
Kind of surprising as they just resigned McCown so maybe they aren't going to draft a QB? Typically top 10 drafted QB's don't start as 3rd stringers.

Though there is little doubt Buffalo will be trading up to grab one at some point.
