Not aggressive at all on eichel on both shots. Needed to be a little more gutsy defensively.

Even the lowly oilers will have a decent chance against us if we're that inconsistent with our efforts in all areas.

Please tighten it up for the weekend!

Ya, not Big Save Dave’s best night. It was one of those nights where I felt terrified that every shot could go in. Not good

As mentioned, this was coming. Flames played no better nor worse then last few games. Didn’t get the odd bounce which would’ve sunk the Sabres like it has others, instead the Sabres stuck around,, and scored on half chances in the third.

Then Rittich going down far too early. Lots of room for Eichel or most forwards to find.

Rittich has been outstanding for us. Give him some slack. Games like this happen.

i'd have to rewatch, but I only thought the last goal was bad?

Ullmark played really well though

We should have been on a power play going into it. We played well enough to win just didn't get a couple bounces

Yet more garbage from the refs

Save % of 0 after the 2nd? Yikes.

Not sure what Johnny was doing on that 3-on-1 in OT, just shoot it man.

Got one point, but hopefully this game lights a fire under them heading into the weekend.

Yeah Ullmark made 3 10-bell saves and were outshot by a decent margin, especially in the last 25 minutes. This game was winnable so nothing to be too upset with.

I was the same, cringed every time Buffalo had a scoring chance. So, I think I cringed once.

Jankowski played a good game. Remember Jankowski? Remember pogs? It's Jankowski, he's back, and this time in pog form.

Oh. As "snaps" go that was pretty tame though.

Come on man. We are better than Oilers fans. The Flames lost because their goaltender had a bad nigh. End of story.

Can't win every game. Buffalo got a lot of lucky bounces. We lost. Take the point and move on.

Rough game for Rittich, who was bested by Ullmark all night.

Take the OTL and move on.

Good for Flames to get knocked down a peg.
Regain mojo for Det and then it’s crush time on Saturday.

Yes, they do, but at the same time, this is a tick in his 'bad game' column -- and if we're counting them for Smith, as we seem to be, well, we have to apply it to Rittich as well. Is he still the team's best option in net? Absolutely. But after this one, Smith has to get the next start.
