Who will finally score 5 goals and give us a Safeway score and win winner?
Curious as to who you guys think will finally do this for us and when?
I'll go a little off the charts and say Byron in 2019

The Flames new rink and the entirety of the ring road will be built before a player scores 5 goals for a Canadian based NHL team.
As for who the next Flame will be to score 5 or more in a game? I don't think that player is in the organization yet.

I know for the Oilers the only time I Remember anyone coming close was Gagner with that 8 point night... But that game was on TSN so it wouldn't have got a winner I imagine.
Would suck to have your name come up as the potential winner and then they just not even come close.

I remember that fraud of a night...getting a point for turning over the puck and then that guy giving it back to another Oilers player who scored

Johnny Gaudreau will be the next Flame to score five goals in a game.
Johnny will then win the $1,000,000 Safeway Score and Win because he went to his local Safeway and entered by buying Compliments cheese slices.

It's never happening for Calgary again.
There have been two 5-goal games in the NHL since 2000:
Marian Gaborik, Dec 20, 2007 and Johan Franzen, Feb 2, 2011.
There are 13 franchises who have never had a player score 5 goals in a game: Anaheim, Boston, Carolina, Columbus, Florida, Los Angeles, New Jersey, Ottawa, San Jose, Tampa Bay, Vancouver, Winnipeg.
Yes, a bunch of those are more recent expansion teams, but there's an "Original Six" team on there, as well as New Jersey, LA, Carolina, and Vancouver who all have franchise history stretching back to the late 60's/early 70's.
That's one of the safest promotions I can think of in terms of something that sounds like it may pay out but never, ever will.
If Vegas set the under/over for 5 goal games in the NHL for the decade at 1.5 I'd probably bet the under.
Never happening.

Reason: Clarifying, no 5 goal scorers for the FLAMES, not NHL as a whole.

It's happened twice in the past ten years, but it's "never happening" again?

Freddie Hamilton. Dougie will score all 5 but Sportsnet will mistake them and credit Freddie.
