Frolik is 4 G 4 A in 7 games since the start of the new year. He is quietly a very big part of this team. 5th on the squad for goals with 11, three of em are game winners. He is plus 14, kills penalties ( two SHG). I love what he brings to the table.

Flames 25-8-4 since the 9-1 loss to Pittsburgh
54 out of a possible 74 points, a .730 points percentage.
119 point pace for 45% of a full season.
What is this team?? Wow
...and that's with the back up goalie sucking about 6 to 10 points off the total, and James Neal MIA.

Flames could have easily had 2/3 more goals as well. It was a very solid game played by the team.
Watching Kylington live is fun. He has made tremendous strides in his game. He did make some suspect passes out of the zone, that luckily didn't materialize into anything for the Coyotes. Still learning the game, but he is skilled.

Mangiapane scored his first NHL point, Bennett chipped in a goal, and Kylington may have been the best player on the ice on a 7-1 game with no points.
I'm not saying it was all us. But clearly it was all us.

There were questions in the offseason if there was a place in the lineup for Mark Jankowski. I think those questions have been answered, and the answer is yes.
People were penciling in Derek Ryan as the #3C, but I think he has settled in just where he belongs. Regular shift on the 4th line with added minutes from being an all situation utility man. Jankowski is the #3C, and on the rise. He just seems like the perfect example of the slow development process. He is very slowly becoming a very good hockey player. I don't know what his ceiling is, but even if this is it, he needs to be here for a long time.
Bennett and Neal haven't driven much offense this year, I believe that lines' surge is mainly due to Jankowski.

The Bennett - Janko - Neal line appears to be gaining traction. If they could really get going it would be awesome. If we could confidently run out them, the 3M line and the top line on a nightly basis knowing that they could all contribute. Oh boy, that's a tough match up for anyone. Including Tampa Bay.

The 3M line works. It has never not worked. It even worked with Gulutzan

From and advanced Stats look...Can someone who understands them properly tell me what the advanced stats are saying about Calgary this season? I just don't understand them and want to know if "where we are in the standings is the same indication of what advanced stats are saying.

I'm not great with advanced stats, but basically this is them in a nutshell.
Winning games + positive possession = playing well in all facets of the game.
Winning games + negative possession = better at some things than others, and an incomplete team as a result.
Losing games + positive possession = something isn't clicking but possibly better than record indicates. Also possible that head coach is a fool.
Losing games + negative possession = Oilers.
The Flames have the puck a lot and win a lot. So they're in good shape.

He had 2 assists in his first 12 games, since then:
7G, 10A, 17P in 32 games, 0.53 PPG (Backlund 0.58).
And he gets zero PP time.

Andersson is getting very good in his end. Perhaps ARZ were depleted but Rasmus was very detailed and won battles. He is really turning into a good player.
