The funniest part about the 'Theres Two Widemen?!?' meme is that its tough to determine which would be better.
Its kind of a toss-up. Dennis was far better for far longer but really fell off a cliff but Chris has really never been good, but could perhaps be better at the moment? Maybe?
Either way theres almost no point in this move at all.

Not a lot of GM’s can get a top-4 D for a 6th round pick.

Dennis has 387 career points to Chris's 43.
It says a lot that I think Dennis Wideman right now would make the Oilers better.

If the refs would love Edmonton for employing him as much as they loved Calgary, then he would make them so much better. For Flames fans.

Not even a sixth rounder in the next draft, but the following year at that.

I thought he played well yesterday, I mean he wasn't noticeable which according to Sens fans is a big improvement for him as his terribleness usually makes him stand out . . .
Oh he didn't play last night? He sat in the pressbox? Still his best game ever.

Mostly the first pick in the 6th round, though.

Which is basically like a late 5th rounder.

If it isnt a 1st overall Edmonton may as well wipe their ass with it for all the good it'll do them.
Even then...

They can package it with their own 6th to move up 10 spots when a distant relative of an Oiler alumni is still on the board

Why would the Sens package for a former Oiler?
I think you got confused who got the pick and who got the D dud.

Not even that good. I'm pretty sure it's the Blues' sixth rounder. And since that was already conditional, the conditions carried over to Ottawa.

The meme should actually read, "There are SEVEN Giordanos?!?"
