Burning questions going into this season:
1) Can anyone topple the Chiefs in the AFC? Hoping my Ravens can...
2) Which playoff teams from last year will be out the outside this year? I'll go with the Browns and Bucs
3) Which team will disappoint? The Bills
4) Which team will be a pleasant surprise? The Bears
5) Will this finally be the Cowboys year? Probably not...

Let me know your thoughts!

Burning questions going into this season:
1) Can anyone topple the Chiefs in the AFC? Absolutely. Minshew Mania baby!
2) Which playoff teams from last year will be out the outside this year? Agreed with Browns and Bucs but I will also throw the Texans and Rams out there.
3) Which team will disappoint? Lions
4) Which team will be a pleasant surprise? I would say Jets but there's nothing pleasant about that club or Rodgers so I'm rolling with the Raiders.
5) Will this finally be the Cowboys year? Do I really need to answer? Ha ha ha...

I actually don't believe the Raiders will make the playoffs or anything. I just wanted an excuse to say "Minshew Mania" and have some off season optimism in the face of bleakness.

Lots of candidates in terms of playoff teams losing their spot this year. Browns and Bucs are good choices.
Basically any team that's not the Ravens, Chiefs or 49ers could be on the outside looking in at new teams.

Also, I've heard it's a pretty awful year for quarterbacks in this draft, so the race to the bottom may not hold a lot of value

More years than not, there is at least 5 teams make the playoffs who did not the prior season.

The NFC South is a toss up as only Carolina would seem like they can't win that Division.

No one has pulled a three peat yet, so odds are it's not happening, but the Chiefs should have a shot at it. Baltimore probably has the best roster.

Rams, Bucs, Browns, Steelers, Bill's seem the most like to miss after last year.

I feel like Cowboys and no are related to each other.

For surprise, I'll pick the Chargers. Harbaugh got the 49'ers to play to their peak when he took that job years ago and he's got a QB and adequate offensive line here. So maybe he take take away some of the Chargering. In the NFC, I'll guess that the Commanders are better than expected.

I suspect Herbert’s foot injury lingers over the season and the Chargers once again do Charger things. The Chiefs are gonna get the old NE 6 free bingo spots on the card for the foreseeable future.

Cowboys are a mess and I suspect this year blows up in their face. Jones already being a doofus with Lamb and he still has Prescott and Parsons to worry about. I suspect it does not go well for them.

Really curious to see how the Texans do. They took a few teams by surprise last year. But, on paper they have really improved over last year and I think Stroud is the real deal. Also love Ryan at the helm.

Ravens are another interesting team. Does Henry have anything left?

Same question for the Eagles. Does a 27 year Barkley have enough left in the tank to make a huge impact?

I suspect Philly in on a downswing they haven’t recognized yet. Sirianni appears to be done. His franchise QB who has always been described as the perfect specimen of a coach able player was calling his own plays and calling DCs to get tips last year. He doesn’t call plays, he doesn’t call defences, he’s heavily into what is it you would say you do here territory.

Acclimating quickly to Kelly Moore’s offence is going to decide their season early. The Kelce retirement shouldn’t be understated either he was a franchise cornerstone.

Not a Sirianni fan by any means. I like that he recognizes or at least upper management did that he needed help. I like the Kellen Moore hire, he's a good OC. Fangio though? Not sure about that one. He has a style at least and is a good at coaching the line.

The pieces are there for a great season or a disaster. There is talent on both sides of the ball so as long as they stay out of their own way they will be ok. Need to keep the divas at bay.

You won't find a bigger fan of Kelce than me. He was a great center. Great. The O line appears to be in decent shape. At least they are not talking about Jurgens much which I take as a good sign.

At least the Eagles dodged a bullet with the Reddick trade. Wants out of NYJ now too.

Aaron Rodgers about to have a whole front office's future on his 40 year old arm. This Reddick situation is ridiculous and a winning season is the only thing that can save Saleh's job at this point

With the way the Eagles fell apart last year they could go either way. From what I have heard, Hurts looks great in camp and he and Moore are getting on quite well. Fangio I think is a solid DC as injuries all but ruined the Dolphins defence last year. One day Eagle fans were talking up Sirianni the same way the MAGA crowd worship Trump...six weeks later they wanted him fired and absolutely hated him.

One other question I'm interested in seeing played out:

Will the Patriots become a relevant franchise again? They have the lowest projected wins on PFF at 6.5. They aren't great, but I would bet that they will win some ugly low scoring games - and as long as they keep the turnovers down they should win a few more of those close games they lost last year.

Will be interesting to see how Young does this year, I think he is a bust. Even worse is the owner made the pick over the coach and gm and fired them.

Which Eagles fans were those? I can tell you among the fans and beat writers I follow, people have been pretty 50/50 on Sirianni for most of his tenure outside of the Super Bowl run.

And the fact they gave away this past year's #1 OA pick to get him is just hilarious
(I'm not sold on Caleb Williams yet either, but he already looks better than Young ever has in the NFL, even in preseason)
