We have 3 Batmen? Affleck, Pattinson, and Keaton? The Pattison Batman is not part of the DCEU. I wonder if they will tie that to Pheonix's Joker? That would actually be good. The DCEU just doesn't work with a realistic type Batman. I'd prefer to see a more adult orientated side Batman universe. Then they can do whatever popcorn flicks they need to in the DCEU.

I think The Flash movie will probably include some parallel universe-type stuff.
As I understand it, the Flash movie will be a bridge between the Affleck DCEU Batman and the new Keaton DCEU Batman.
At the beginning of the movie, we'll see Flash interacting with Batfleck to establish that it's still the continuity we know from the previous DCEU films. Then, Flashpoint will happen and Barry will realize he messed up the Multiverse when Batman is no longer Batfleck (will it be the rumoured Thomas Wayne Batman played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan?). The bulk of the movie will be about Flash trying to fix the Multiverse, which will likely involve working together with both Keaton and Affleck (and Morgan if he's involved). Then, the film will end with the new "repaired" Multiverse in which Keaton is Bruce Wayne, who is now retired as Batman and serving in a Batman Beyond-style mentor role for the new Batgirl.
At least, that was my understanding of the plan a few months ago when rumours started circulating.

I heard something similar.
My understanding was that Keaton was going to be plucked out of his universe and put into the DCEU, but the DCEU Batman would stay the same.
The reasoning being that Keaton was actually the Tim Burton Batman. Having the Keaton Batman be the DCEU Batman, would mean that the Tim Burton movies would be canonized into the DCEU, as opposed to just existing in a parallel universe.
Regardless of whether or not the plan sounds awful or amazing. At least they're putting forward a semblance of a plan. Which is miles ahead of what they were doing before.
If the plan for arguably DCs most popular character is to be Keaton in a batman beyond, behind the scenes type of guy in the mainstream DCEU, then have the Elseworlds type stories to continue making Batman movies so that fans get their fix. In a cinematic universe I guess I can live with that.
Maybe they're just admitting it doesn't work cinematically, which is too bad because in most of the animated Justice League movies and TV shows Batman was always one of the best characters.

Batman has a pretty strong history of working cinematically though:
Batman
Batman Returns
Batman Begins
Dark Knight
Joker
For me, these may be 4 of the best 5 comic book movies.
As a comic book nerd, I kind of like the multi-verse thing. I also, as I stated, prefer a more grounded Batman movie, that cannot exist in the same universe as super-powered beings. So finding a way to have the side universe along with including Batman in the DCEU is great.
Yeah I absolutely agree. I should have clarified that I think they may be concerned about what they envision as their Batman fitting in, in a Justice League universe. Cinematicaly Batman absolutely works. Nolan confirmed it.
I was interested in The Suicide Squad as soon as Gunn was hired. The match of material and director is just perfect, probably more so than Guardians because of the Marvel constraints. I’ll watch.
I'm very reluctant to say that anything suicide squad looks good, after the first two movies were so not great. However this looks alright. Gunn is obviously a big step up. The cast and effects look much better too though. I'm assuming with the amount of star power here, it won't be just Harley Quinn and friends.
