Board Game thread

Hey so there's def a thread about board games already but I was hoping to gear this thread towards less common games like Settlers of Cattan, Ticket to Ride, etc. So no sorry, monopoly, risk, clue etc. I want to almost call it the european board game thread but that would confuse a lot of people and muddy the issue.

Looks pretty great but a bit more complicated. I've also thought about picking up Puerto Rico. What games do you guys like to play and what 'gateway games' do you use with friends who aren't really into the board game scene?

Catan has been mentioned in 47 posts in the other thread (probably more than any other game), Ticket to Ride in 23 posts. I think you'll find that that's the thread where a lot of the games you're interested in are already being discussed!
