Well his family is well off (Brick money), so he didn't really need to keep on playing if his career was going to be a grind.
Oh and Comrie is to thank for the Oilers not getting Corey Perry after he wouldn't give his bonus back to Lowe. So really we are kinda in his debt.

Or after those hip surgery's he figured it wasnt worth the pain and possible long term health effects. Isn't like he needed the money.

Didn't he have a bunch of injuries that made it hard to play? I thought he stopped because of his back or something.
My girlfriend called this divorce as soon as Duff suddenly started to pop up on tv again. Said she must not be able to rely on all that Brick and Hockey money anymore.
