You and I may not of seen him play but between Conroy/Pascal and all the scouts and him playing in the same division as the Wranglers......they have seen him a ton.

Yeah, our pro scouts have looked pretty good this year with the trade targets and waiver claims.

And with Brzustewicz, Grushnikov, and now Miromanov we've heard Conroy say they were targeting those players for a while. I know he's not likely to say they took whatever they could get, but I am brainwashed enough to believe him.

At the end of the day I have a lot more faith in this management's plan and direction than I have in decades. I'm excited to see it play out as the potential is much more interesting than scrambling to just make the playoffs because you never know.

I've seen this guy a ton and I'm a lowly Wranglers media guy. They play Henderson extremely often. You can bet the Flames' brass knows Miromanov very, very well.

What are your thoughts on him since you've seen him and what have you heard about him from your media circles?

He's a big, aggressive guy who jumps into the play and has a cannon of a shot. Pretty creative working from the point on the PP. I think he'll be a great guy to have around for the rebuild.

So how do you see Miromanov?

I'm hoping for a 3rd-pairing guy who can work on the power play. Is that out to lunch?

EDIT: D'oh! Answered while I was typing the question. Thanks, Scorp!

Not at all. I think he has the potential to pop. I would actually love to see him start with Weegar.

Kylington-Andersson
Weegar-Miromanov
Hanley-Pachal
Gilbert

Send Oesterle to the Wranglers.

Not much hockey-wise. Looks like he's a bit of a chatterbox. Lots of social media clips about car racing, food, training etc. Couple of videos of his goals from the blue line in Vegas.

That actually looks decent, considering how much talent the team has traded away.

5. Daniil Miromanov
To say that Miromanov's career thus far has been a whirlwind would be an understatement. Not only did he bounce around North America and Eastern Europe chaotically for a number of years, but he was also originally a winger and only recently switched fulltime to defence. Despite some expected growing pains, the returns to date have been very impressive overall, and you can tell that he's still just scratching the surface of how good he can become once he fully adjusts to his new position. His heavy shot is a serious weapon, especially with the offensive instincts that carried over from his time as a forward, and he uses his strength and reach well to win defensive battles. Miromanov has an abundance of remaining unmined upside, and it's exciting to think of how good the final product could be after a few more years of stable, focused growth within the same organization.

Love the writeup obviously and their 5th ranked prospect? That sounds good.

He will also be 27 before next season starts. Hopefully he is a hell of a late bloomer as the writeup mentions needing a few more years of growth. Kind of makes me wonder when it was written.

Seems about the same over reaction when Connie made the trade for Sharangovich. I'm gonna trust in Conroy and see what kind of team he builds.

He used to be a forward so he's basically the next Brent Burns/Dustin Byfuglien.

Those pairings are interesting. There is a lot of opportunity for someone to pop.

Did I hear Conroy say he ‘knows the system’?

I think he's referring to the zone defensive system that Huska implemented this year. Early on they mentioned that Vegas uses the same system.
