Good for him! I always loved him as a prospect for the Flames, but I never thought that he would end up having an NHL career. He most certainly is an NHL'er and has been useful on the Panthers. Just a really good story IMO, and really difficult for me to dislike him.

Hard work pays off. Lomberg might not be the most skilled player, but his motor is undeniable.

Glad to see. Always liked him. He puts out the right effort every shift

I was surprised he was getting a regular shift with Florida at first but he has made the most of it

Very interesting player. Small guy who thrives on gritty play, he will always have to work hard to stay in the NHL, and he seems to know it.

Pull for the guy but never really like him as a player

My best memory of Lomberg is he punching bigger players with his face

What a warrior. Glad it works for him with the Panthers. Would never work with the flames with Lucic and companies around

Good for him as an undrafted free agent. I like how the Lomberghini nickname has stuck as well.

Looking at his stats, i was surprised to see he was almost a PPG in 2019/20 in Stockton (20 points in 21 games). Fair to say his game has continued to progress, and he can do more than just skate around and hit people. And while he'll never be a skill guy in the NHL, he clearly knows how to contribute in other aspects of the game.

His teammates absolutely love him. The camaraderie is a big factor with the Panther's success right now, and he's a guy who goes through brick walls for his team and teammates. Hard not to appreciate that.

Glad to see he gets a couple more years for 4th line duty. He definitely adds something when he's in the lineup

Good for him! I'm surprised he still has a role and now a new contract in the NHL. This goes to show how much hard work and character make a difference.

Congratulations to Ryan Lomberg! I loved his bravery and his willingness to do whatever it took!

Also shouts for his hair flip on his way to the penalty box!

I’m a fan. You have to respect his fearlessness and work ethic.

When he fought Kassian and kept checking his knuckles in the penalty box after was gold!

Beat me to it. Man, the refs had to step in and restrain Lomberg first to save Kassian's life again. The thanks they get is a few punches in the back, then a not stop stream of "f*** you, go **** yourself".
