It might be because they are advocates of Nuclear power or it might have to do with it being founded by actual Nazis. Like Waffen SS actual Nazis. Hard to tell.
But yes, it was a very clearly a white nationalist fascist party when founded. It was founded with the merger of "Keep Sweden Swedish" party who had such creative slogans as "Don't let your daughter become a negro toy" and had not just very anti-immigration policies, but wanted to deport non-ethic Swedes from the country, obvious ties to white supremacy and neo-Nazism groups. You'd have a better time arguing Hitler wasn't a Nazi than this party to start...
But then it has become more moderate and mainstream, alleging to be non-racist and the like, cleaning up the ranks of skinheads, etc, but its rise in recent years is very much to do with the increase in Syrian refugees and the Swedes against it.
