Along with Leon Draisaitl, his version of Evgeni Malkin, McDavid will one-up Crosby by capturing the Cup in his third season – after Crosby fell short in Game 6 against the Red Wings.

"It's exciting," McDavid said. "That's what good teams do, teams that have won, that's kind of their recipe is draft good players and watch them develop."

Did you see him on sports net yesterday with the Jager signing? Looked like he had chewed a mouth full of lemons he was so puckered up

I don’t have to make a prediction to say that the Oilers WILL NOT win the Stanley Cup this season.

These sportscasters blowing smoke up the Coilers rears in the off chance they happen to do it so they can say they knew they were going to do it before the season started, blah blah blah.

If they would be fired if they were wrong I’m sure they would change their “prediction”.

Please Flames, pound the Coilers tomorrow night, I can’t do another thanksgiving listening to “the Oilers owned the Shames the other night!”!

lmao, by his accuracy the Oilers should miss the playoffs completely. Torts fired in the first month while the CBJ finish dead last? The Tampa Bay Lightning win the SC? Bawhahaha!!!

Wow, you'd think the media would have learned their lesson predicting Oilers success by now. They couldn't get past the final 8 last season with no injuries and a favourable schedule and haven't improved at all since then.

Also the 2008/2009 Penguins comparison is so stupid. Yes McDavid is the new Crosby but that is where it ends. Draisaitl doesn't even play centre so the Malkin comparison makes no sense and those Penguin teams had a very good defence and incredible forward depth, something the Oilers do not even come close to.

Like last season when the media was predicting a Stars vs Lightning final there are going to be a lot of wrong predictions again this year.

PS. Spector is a tool. Also, interestingly Francis has the best predictions with Calgary as the best Canadian team and Edmonton as the most likely to disappoint.

Well Spector’s predictions have been the kiss of death. This pleases me.

Yeah, except Pittsburgh had a vastly better defense and bottom 6. And at this point I’m not even sure 2017 Connor/Drai > 2009 Sid/Geno.

You can't make this #### up. The fact that this guy regularly writes about the Flames is embarrassing.
