Assuming Zverev and Djokovic don't play the US Open, Felix will be the #6 seed. That's a pretty great position doesn't have to play top 4 until the quarters.

Borna Coric will be seeded at the US Open (live rankings has him at #29) - I don't think anybody wants to play him at the moment.

With the US Open starting soon, let's throwback to one of the best tennis matches I ever saw. This went a long way in making me a tennis fan in the early days before Rafa. I still remember racing home after hockey to watch the match recorded on VHS

So this seems like kind of a big deal - 17 year old Cadence Brace of Canada just defeated #70 ranked Kaja Juvan in straight sets 7-5 6-3 at the WTA event in Granby, Quebec.

Another US Open throwback match, this time it's the grand farewell to one of the greatest players ever (and my first favorite tennis player). Sampras at 31 (that's pretty crazy he retired so young) was going through a huge drought and wasn't the same player he was before. Seeded 17th he had taken out fellow American (and 2003 Champion) Andy Roddick on his road to the final. Across the net a familiar foe, his greatest rival Andre Agassi. The two Americans slugged it out but after it was over Pistol Pete claimed his then record 14th Grand Slam. Outside of a few exhibition matches Sampras would never play again.
