The location talk has nothing to do with the actual show. Keep it to the production thread. That’s what it’s for.
Maybe we just need more threads like for GoT. One for game spoiler talk, one for tv show only and one for production talk.

Or you could just look past the location spotting posts if it irritates you that much.

Just grab some stock footage of Whyte Ave after an Oilers game and be done with it.

They did shoot in Edmonton as well.

Yes it is. It spoils the game and the tv show. We have no idea what May or may not be further explained or introduced in the show. Bringing up a bunch of game spoilers are still tv show spoilers.
How hard is it to read and follow the thread title?
Even production discussion can contain spoilers for future locations and events.
Some people just want to watch the tv show and not deal with a bunch of spoiler content.

Jesus, it's fine. There won't be that many posts overall, anyways, just a bunch every Sunday night/Monday. It seems everyone but you appreciates and enjoys the location discussion alongside the show discussion.
If we were talking hundreds of posts every episode than sure, but we're not. The peaks will be first and last episodes most likely, and the first episode has produced 46 so far, and a lot less if only show discussion was allowed.
Simply not worth any sort of battle or complaining. Just scroll past.

Thanks for telling me what I can and cannot consider a spoiler and what interests me to discuss!
Feel free to tell me what other topics I’m allowed to post about too since you’re the expert.

Good Faith Question as I'm trying to understand:
How is identifying filming locations in an episode after it's aired a spoiler?
Not trying to be a dick, I just feel like I'm missing what Cecil is saying.

TLOU - TV Show Talk Only (no game or behind the scenes discussion allowed)
I thought the first episode was awesome.

I'm a little confused to the spoiler/location discussion connection as well. He's also saying thanks for telling me what interests me to discuss, which doesn't make sense since we were saying that everyone else but him seems to be okay with some location discussion, we're not telling him to be interested in location discussion.
So therefore the most logical solution is for the one (possibly others as well) poster who doesn't like to scroll past a few posts here and there.

Because there are a bunch of behind the scenes pictures floating around and they’ll inevitably be next. If I wanted to read those spoilers I’d go to Reddit.

Really? You don't see a difference between spoilers and spotting parts of Calgary in the show?

But, people have only shared ones based on filmed episodes and IF something was posted that shouldn't be it would be moderated?
I dunno, man, I'm not sure that's a solid enough reason to have your own thread when we already have two on the same property.

Based on the fact the game spoilers weren’t moderated at all, no I’m not willing to chance it.
I just want to be able to enjoy a spoiler free experience and it doesn’t seem like many people care about that, I guess since the game is old and everyone’s played it?
I asked about the guidelines for this thread and multiple people responded saying they disagreed. I’m fine with that. Why would anyone care if there’s another totally spoiler free thread? I don’t get why my desire to avoid certain spoiler talk would rile anyone up.
Just move on. New thread created. All good.

So you're stealing the show discussion away from the thread created for it because you disagreed with everyone on film location discussion? This is so dumb. I guess it's one way to get what you want when you were the only one complaining.
I guess if others come here nothing we can do, but I'll keep posting in the actual thread for the show, lots of great show talk and some location stuff to talk about to. Would rather keep it in one tidy discussion thread, as discussion flows better that way.

Haha, he just went and created his own thread. No reason to fracture the show discussers into choosing threads like that. But he made it now so nothing we can do I guess.

I had to click on the thread just to understand the acronym in the title. Is it that hard to have the full title?

The only possible solution is to have a thread for every iteration:
TLOU - TV Show Talk Only
TLOU - TV Show Talk Only + Game Spoilers
TLOU - TV Show Talk Only + Game Spoilers + Behind the Scenes
TLOU - Game Spoilers + Behind the Scenes
TLOU - Behind the Scenes
TLOU - Behind the Scenes, Calgary Only
TLOU - TV Show Talk Only + Behind the Scenes, Calgary Only
TLOU - TV Show Talk Only + Game Spoilers + Behind the Scenes, Calgary Only
