Hopefully Blizzcon (which is running now) gives us a release date for D3.

appears to be a mix of the amazon and assassin, two of my favorites. Gametrailers has a bunch of videos explaining the class and some of the skills.

I doubt anybody really cares about this anymore, but the Diablo 2 ladders are being reset as we speak.

Hard to believe it's been almost three years since it was announced. Imagine if EA made this game. There would have been nine sequels already and the franchise would have died off five years ago.
Edit: It's kind of funny that the game has become so cheated up that ladder resets have barely any effect on the regular player after two weeks. I used to play this game on and off but it's just pointless now.

That sounds more like Activision with their Tony Hawk, COD, Guitar Hero spamming. Funny enough, Activision and Blizzard are partners now...

Happy Unicorn Day everybody!
The Activision Blizzard First Quarter Calendar 2011 Results Conference Call starts in just over an hour (1:30 pm PST). There is speculation that Blizzard President and CEO Mike Morhaime will announcing a beta start date. Here is a quote of his from the last conference call 3 months ago:
Quote:
D3 development continues to go well, and we’re very excited about the game… I’m looking forward to sharing more news about the game, and our upcoming beta, during the next conference call.

OMG, I can't take it anymore. Stop teasing me.
I'm hoping for a 2012 release on April 30. That way school is done and I can play it for 4 months.

Update:
Quote:
During today’s Activision/Blizzard conference call, Mike Morhaime announced that the developers were targeting the Diablo 3 Beta for testing during Q3 2011. They did not give any more details about when the test will begin or when we’ll hear more information about it. Quarter 3 begins in July, 2011.
Mike also said that they began internal company-wide testing last week, and the game is looking great. They are working hard to launch the game this year, but they do not have an official release date/window yet. They will not compromise quality of the game to hit a release window.

Bashiok on the beta:
Quote:
The 3rd quarter reference in the earning's call today was a calendar quarter, meaning that we're aiming to launch the Diablo III beta between July 1st and September 30th. Keep in mind that it's our current goal, and of course that can change as development continues.

How do you think you would wind up being able to play the beta? Would you have to preorder the game like you did for sc2? Or are we thinking it will just be lucky randoms who are selected to test it initially?
