Watched some of the Nintendo Spotlight on that Mario x Rabbids game.

Actually looks really good. Decent humor, game play looks fun, beautiful visually.

Color me shocked that Ubisoft was able to pull off what looks like a great Mario universe game.

I feel like... when Nintendo lets you use the Mario IP, you don't half-ass it. Have they ever let a third party use it before? I know they've let third parties develop Mario sports games or whatever that they've still published, but this Ubisoft published too.

Yeah, who knows. I tweeted at Nintendo Canada a couple times but no response. Then Xenoblade Chronicles 2 (Nintendo published, later release than Mario Odyssey) gets posted at $79.99 and Metroid: Samus Returns is the regular $49.99 as well. Confusing, and no one is saying anything.

Except for MarioxRabbids, every Nintendo IP Switch game announced in the last two weeks is $99.99. Even FE Warriors saw a price increase.

Thank you! I JUST pre-ordered it at $49.96. My first attempt was unsuccessful as it told me upon check out that it was out of stock. Refreshed, said it was in stock, submitted it as quickly as possible, and it was accepted.

If anyone is hoping to pounce, make sure you've got a Walmart.ca account set up and logged in, and have another item in your cart to make up the 0.04 difference for free shipping. Every second matters!

I'm not sure if this is a trick or a fluke, but when the main Mario Odyssey product page loads, the "add to cart" button is bright green and seemingly enabled before the page fully loads. Once the page loads, it drops lower on the screen, turns lighter green, and is disabled.

Try reloading and clicking on the "add to cart" button repeatedly before it drops down and fades to see if it adds. If not, reload a few more times and try again. You might be able to add it to your cart, and once it is in there, you might have better luck.

Edit: Using the above trick, I was able to get another one into my cart, but it won't let me check out because it says it is out of stock. I think that if you can get one in your cart, you can just refresh the checkout page and when (if?) if becomes in stock again, you're just one click away from submitting it.

Not E3 myself no. Prior to this year, E3 has been an industry only event and they really clamped down on people without press or industry credentials. That being said, E3 was having it's own problems in terms of size and relevance in the last few years though.

For a lot of these events it is probably more male weighted but hardly 100%. I find that you see every kind of person from all walks of life that attend as a general rule.

Yeah I've got one in my cart from when it was in stock but went out before I could checkout, so I just keep trying to check out and it tells me then it's out of stock. Next time I bet Mario will be in stock but my cheap item will be out of stock

I was able to snag another switch today on Amazon even though I'm on the fence. This will make 3, I snagged 2 during a Best Buy stock and ended up selling them at cost on a Facebook gaming group I'm in. I will be watching for $50 Mario now though.

I got one from Amazon too. I've had nowinstock alerts active for about a week but I was always too slow.

Kinda wish I had kept my preorder but there are now enough games worth getting to justify the purchase. I'm still crossing my fingers waiting on a Stardew Valley annoucement soon.

Its funny because I opened nowinstock and saw one but didn't get it, then signed up but after it took 15 min to get my confirmation text I cancelled the sign up. Just happened to check before I left work and saw they were in again.
