They are due to slow down at some point but at this point I’ll be surprised if Monahan doesnt hit 40g, probably around 75pts. Also think we’ll see Johnnys first 100pt season.

Outstanding game from the first line...how good are those two contracts for Gaudreau and Monahan? Those are looking good now, let alone in 4-5 years. I hope it allows us to pay Tkachuk once he comes off his ELC if he's as good as I think that he's going to be.

Cannot figure out Gulatzan's love for fourth line minutes in a tight game like that (and against a relatively fast team); I love Stajan personally but that line is just awful. It makes me think about wanting to go all Ottawa and roll in Stone to play up as a forward a la Chris Wideman, because I miss his shot from the point when all our Ds are healthy and he can't really be much worse than what we roll out there otherwise.

Love seeing some chemistry in the Jagr/Jankowski line, even if it didn't turn into points tonight. They look comfortable (especially surprising for Janks this early) and their size is a nice asset.

Overall happy to get the W; also happy to see karma win out as Tkachuk didn't deserve that suspension but we probably didn't deserve one or two of those PPs - and the PP was lethal tonight.

Win feels good, especially after the garbage in Detroit. Shape up the D and keep the offence rolling for next time. Flames need to find another gear if they are going to establish themselves in the top of division.

I wish Stajan wasn't, um...how do I put this.......so done.

The game has just totally passed him by this year. It's sad to watch him trying his best but have the ability to do basically nothing positive at all.

Can't see him playing very many more games this year barring more player suspensions or injuries. And even then, it's gotten to the point where even playing him due to injuries to others is probably only going to be a bad idea.

Guy just has nothing left to give anymore.

Nice to get a win but that was some bad hockey in the first and second. Luckily for us the Flyers kept taking dumb penalties which let us stay in the game. I felt we were much better in the 3rd however, and obviously OT was once again ours.

We keep having huge problems with teams that forecheck aggressively, I think that's definitely partially a systems issue. Defensive game in general was bad, PK especially.

Brodie needs to have his TOI cut. He's very good, but he's not the best defenseman on the team which his TOI suggest, and he can't handle all those minutes right now.

Stajan is still a warrior at heart, but he can't keep up with the game

On the positive side, our top line is showing no signs of cooling down, Gaudreau especially is just crazy to watch. Monahan is still the most unspectactular sniper in the game. Just puts the pucks in, no fuss Ferland seems to have found more consistency to his game and seems to be relaxing into his role in a good way.

2M is obviously less than 3M, but still pretty good

Versteeg now 4 points in last 6 games. Like or hate him, it's still better to see him contribute with points than not

Jankowskis line is still a pretty good 3rd line.
