Smith was good. made a lot of big saves. Still doesn't get enough credit.

Elliott was bad. Brodie still looked bad. Refs were bad.

Lack has to start carrying some mail.

That game was wild, we take the 2 points after the Detroit fiasco and roll on, but there are still a lot of warts that need to be cured.

Brodie for Simmonds. Simmonds is playing with Patrick and being under utilized similiar to how Schenn was before the trade to SL. If NJ can get Hall for Laesson... This is doable.

The thing is, the Flyers arent a good team right now, they're suffering from the same ills as we are, and thats a lack of depth scoring, their first line is doing all the heavy lifting, as is ours.

We beat them on special teams (which is a borderline miracle) and goaltending, but they have Brian Elliott, so thats to be expected.

Spoiler!

Good win, when it looked like the Flames were in for another tough result. Even though Smith let in 4, he was dynamite. That Flyers top line is so good, seemed like very chance they had was a high quality one. Brodie was bumbling around all game. Usually you can forgive a player when the puck bounces on them at the worst time. But when it seemingly happens all game, every game? Something is up with the guy.

The lady behind the goal who spend the entire game slapping the glass needs to have her hands chopped off Shariah law style. As frustrating as that was, the Gamecentre boardcast was even more brutal. Struggled and lagged it way the entire game, cutting in and out of HD mode. It's been that way since game 1. Terrible video player and whoever designed it should be terminated without pay.

Frolik with a huge PK at the end of the 3rd and a wicked shot to win it! Mohanan PPG and on pace for 40+. Not sure what that guy needs to do to get more recognition around the league. And can't say enough about Johnny that hasn't already been said. On pace to challenge Iggy's career season in points from 2008. The kid is unreal and is showing no sign of slowing down.

One of Brodie, hamonic, Hamilton won't be here next year.

I think Brodie should go and has good value.

This team is great 3 on 3 in OT.
I'm a bit concerned about our D. Is it just me, or is Brodie not looking good.

A pretty good assessment IMO, but what is lost on so many fans is just how competitive the league is game to game. Other than Tampa Bay no team is dominant and almost every game is closely contested.

There is no shame in not being perfect every game. There is another team of skilled and motivated professionals trying to win against the Flames every game. I like that the Flames are finding ways to win games. They need to keep it up and obviously more often than not in order to have a successful season.

Look at the standings for proof. It is very tight top to bottom.

I only watched from the half way point of the 3rd, but was really impressed with Hamonic especially on the PK at the end of regulation.

I'm happy fan today. GFG.

Default 5-4 OT win! Monahan hattrick, Frolik OT winner!

Does Johnny's parents know about his potty mouth?
Versteeg with the savage chirp to Elliott after the 3-2 goal.

Pretty entertaining game, they never win afternoons!!!!

Gaudreau almost halfway to his point total from last season in 1/4 of the games. Unreal.

Flyers top line was on fire. Looked dangerous every time they had the puck. Definitely one of the best lines in hockey.

Re Flyers depth: I have faith Simmonds will turn things around. Konecny and Patrick have been hurt for most of the year. They are the guys Philly is depending on to lead the 2nd and 3rd lines.

He was channelling his inner Chucky today. That penalty was stupid to take but that whole game was just the Wild West.
