I liked it especially because it goes beyond just being a nod to a previous show. They're alluding to Coulson essentially being a "doll" implanted with the original Coulson's memories.

Sky getting shot and put in the chamber reminder me of the Spider Woman origins


Plus they aluded to abomination
Plus the other two potential supervillians that are locked away by shield.
Somehow the Quinn capture reminds me of the Loki plan, the Clairvoyant is going to get his own man into Shield and bust out these freaks and monsters.

Really a strong episode hero wise for Jemma who was willing to literally throw herself on a grenade to save everyone else. Plus I was killing myself when she did her backstory on Colsoun as her father with all of the prostitutes.

Colsoun's quip, if your going to have sex with someone at least be able to say the word was awesome.

There's a lot to like right now in terms of the developing storylines

I really enjoyed the way the last episode was laid out as well, including the way they showed each pairing's point of view starting from the same point in time. It's always cool to see the dynamics between the different pairings as well. Coulson and Jemma was awesome. But May and Ward were especially interesting heh.

I have to admit that the

shooting of Sky was really well done, from the way they did the makeup on her face turning her dusty gray. To Quinn holding her and shushing her.

To her determined painful crawl to the door, fighting to open it and crying out for help and hearing it come out as a whisper were so well done.

The one big thing on this series is its really strongly acted, and in a lot of ways they've made some bad scripts really bearable.

When Emma comes through the door, see's the merc with a grenade and her eyes went really wide and she screeches bloody hell was a great moment for the character.

So the first episode of the month was on last night, personally I thought it was fantastic and creepy and set the pace for the rest of the season.

And you can never go wrong with Bill Paxton

I thought so as well, but couldn't tell 100%. I'm itching to know what the side effects will be on Skye though. It may be nothing physical though, since I assume the pulled the same stunt on Coulson. Also, having Lorelei show up at the end was interesting. And looks like what's-her-face who plays Sif from Thor will be a guest next week. Asgardian chick fight!!

I really want to know what the side effects are but I doubt they'll do much more then drop subtle hints this season, if they do this like Whedon does all of his shows, she's the most likely candidate to become a big bad at some point.

Maybe she becomes Spiderwoman or something like that.

What we do know is that there are a lot of supervillian types suddenly being locked up inside of Shield facilities. We have Deathlock now, and a Clairvoyant unseen villian that desperately wants to know how Coulson is still alive. I'm really enjoying this season.

Add on to the Captain America trailer last night that makes you feel like Shield is not necessarily the good guy all the time (shield secretly being run by Hydra maybe?)

lots of betrayal and the show is now labeled as Agents of SHIELD uprising. The Clairvoyant is one of their own. Really great emotional feel in this one. Melinda May could be a traitor, Bill Paxton is awesome. Oh and Death Lok has been modified

Holy crap, last nights episode was one of the best hours of T.V. that I've seen in a long time.

With Spoilers and matching with Winter Soldier

Turns out that Garrett (Bill Paxton) is a traitor, he was caught at the end of the episode and then sent off to an area deeper then the freezer. Agent Ward wanted to go with Agent Hand to "Turn the key and see him suffer".

It turns out that Ming was talking to Fury on the secure line, the last call announced that Fury was dead.

Hydra has taken over pretty much all of the facilities except for the main two.

Most of the Hydra agents are level 8 and above.

Shield is pretty much gone at this point, the most powerful person right now is Skye who erased all of the data at Shield and then put it on a hard drive.

Hand was not the clairvoyant she was loyal, she originally believed that Coulson was Hydra but that was disproved by a listening device.

The last scene in the episode was on a plane with Hand and Ward escorting Garrett to a deeper secret facility. Ward turned on Shield and brutally executed Hand and two other senior shield agents the plane is locked on course to I think tree house which could be the top secret Shield prison.

So Ward and Garrett are traitors, Hand and Fury are dead, Coulson and the rest of his team are on the run.

The Shield Logo going to commercial was replaced with a hydra logo.

The key statement is that Hydra infiltrates and takes advantage by making you believe they are your friends.

The problem is that if you watch this episode it takes place just after Winter Soldier and they talk about what happened so you'll spoil the crap out of yourself.
