that's why Ben throws it 239 times every game. Snell and McFarland have a combined 12 yards on 9 carries, and Snell didn't get the single yard on three attempts. Terrible. Conner is just an okay back, but when he's out, there's really nothing there at all.

Also feel like the guys most impacted by a shortened week are going to be your Offensive Line.

Sam Darnold could still be a shrewd pickup for some other team as well.
I'm not sure there is a single person who would look good with that coaching staff, a bad offensive line, and the lack of playmakers around him.
He showed promise at times in his rookie and 2nd season, and honestly I'm not sure anybody is going to look great with a 37 year old Frank Gore, Crowder/Perriman as your top 2 receivers, and Chris Herndon as your tight end.

yup. If I were the Colts, for example, I'd be all over this. They have an outstanding OL and a system where he could thrive.

End of half, I didn't know that the defense could line up illegally.

Ohh Washington...2nd & G on the Steelers' half-yard line and they throw it 3 straight times. They got lucky Watt bailed them out with a defensive holding call on 4th down, yikes..

^^^No doubt Darnold has been in as bad a situation as there is in the NFL, but he's also had a lot of Jameis-level decision making that makes you wonder if he just doesn't have what it takes. Someone will obviously take a flier (my money would be on Denver), but there are more issues with Darnold than just his supporting cast and coaching.

Whether you think they're about to be the best 12-0 of all-time, or you think they are the worst 12-0 team of all-time, I can say with virtual certainty that the Steelers are the most boring and hard to watch 12-0 team of all-time. It makes their record slightly more impressive that they win and their games are constantly a chore to watch. We all can hate the Patriots, but at least that 2007 team was fun to watch annihilate people.

honestly, with all those stupid playcalls and drops, they deserve to lose. Plus it's a tired, injured defense.

I thought Smith coming back was just a gimmicky, feel good story. But he’s turned Washington into a somewhat competent football team.

It’s a chicken and The egg argument in my opinion.
When you have no coach to help you learn from those mistakes to improve, and when you have no skill players that are easy outlets to get you out of a jam then you tend to make more bad decisions.
Too many teams draft a QB early, make him the starter, give them no other support and wonder why he can’t turn the team around single handedly.
This was a guy that was the lone bright spot on these Jets teams the two years prior to this one and he had a good second season in the league, especially considering he was a starter as a rookie at 21, and had a great season for a 22 year old last year.
He is still only 23 (same age as Murray, younger than Burrow). The raw talent is there, a good coach and GM would make it work.
