I have no idea why they didn’t fire him as soon as he was convicted and banned in Italy. It’s appalling incompetence. They had to have known that this was a possibility, and seemingly had nothing prepared for that eventuality?

as expected, the British media is over the moon with Chelsea bringing back Lampard. It is an "unexpected moment of logic", says The Telegraph. It's "the first sensible thing Chelsea's owners have done", adds The Athletic.

They're so far up his ass, all you can do is laugh.

Kompany can have Burnley promoted straight back up again later today with a win at Middlesbrough.

With seven games left to play.

Burnley promoted.
Must be a record for PL promotion with games in hand.

Heard yesterday it would be earliest, but it didnt specify if it was earliest in games or the date

Hes done an incredible job

I'd take he and Carrick over Lampard and Gerrard as to who will have better managerial careers

Big game coming up at WHL.

Got a feeling there could be a nasty atmosphere for Levy if Brighton take this.

Wouldn't be a bad thing. Something has to give there.

Rashford hurt? Groin? Catastrophic if true.

Spurs with absolute robbery to beat Brighton. The officials were horrific. Two disallowed Brighton goals (at least the second should’ve been given, if not both). A shout for a penalty that was checked by VAR and I have no idea what the justification could’ve been to not give it.

In the end, Spurs somehow got the win, but that shouldn’t inspire any confidence.

Haha, yeah, all it took was a terrible performance from VAR for us to get the points.

Brighton get their third apology of the season regarding VAR.
Absolutely unacceptable that they have the benefit of time, slow motion, multiple replays and still screw up.
They're basically costing them a CL place..

Has anyone had a steeper fall off a cliff than Van Dijk this season? He's been a debacle since that CL Final twerk.

Not sure how Liverpool didn't win that one, Arsenal very lucky to escape with the draw. Very poor and passive from Arsenal after going 2-0 up.

Ramsdale had 3 huge saves towards the end there. Entertaining game.

Went into that thinking I'd be happy with a draw, so despite blowing a 2-0 lead, happy with that.
More of a point saved in the end, than 2 lost considering the chances Liverpool had.

I know every team has a few calls at least they think should have gone their way, but ya brightens are just obvious

Hojberg clearly stepped on his foot, no camera missed it

The linesman who elbowed Robertson absolutely lost his mind

Roy Keane saying he should have just gone on with it and played like nothing happened is very funny though

Haha Keano would’ve murdered him. And his jokes on the panel were hypocritical comedy.
