There was a brief moment this afternoon that the Oilers were winning their game and the Flames losing theirs. What could have been only a 2 point separation ends up as 6 points. What a great day!

Oilers now need to play at a 106 point pace for the rest of the season - 13 points every 10 games.
Not impossible, but to put in perspective -
through the first 20 games they are playing at a 66 point pace.

Right now the Oilers are playing at a .400 pace (7-11-1-1) which right now represents its 4th worst pace from the decade of despair.
That's right there were 6 teams better then this one pace wise that didn't have their version of "Sid and Malkin"
