Exactly.
Further to that, what makes no sense is the timing of escorting dummy to the penalty box. Even officials reffing junior hockey clear the ice and settle everything down before escorting the offender off the ice.
Why bring him into the middle of a bunch of players still wound up and on the ice?
Incredibly poorly handled by stripes.

I've seen Smith make saves on the same sort of chances, especially deflections, this year. And then he corrals the puck, too.
