Agreed. I was talking about the actual text they use. Resign is completely wrong. Re-sign fits the narrative in text form. I agree that extension or contract renewal are more apt in a spoken context.

It might not age well but a 29 year old UFA is going to get himself a 7 year deal if he is in demand like Kreider was. The cost of doing business i guess.

Kreider is still an elite skater who is a big body. So those are two traits that he has in his favor as he ages. So long has he can produce 20-25 goals, and 45-50 points for most of this deal, it will work out to be a decent contract.

Buchnevich strikes me as a lazy player in the viewings I have had of him. Would be a bit leery to add that to our Country Club crew.

Seems like a good contract for his current rate of scoring but he's already peaked. As long as he doesn't lose a step it will be okay but if he does this will be pretty bad.
