Perhaps. I just saw Babcock's response. Curious what the question was??

San Jose won one President's Trophy under McLellan, in his first season as their coach.
They got progressively worse every year he was their coach, until they finally missed the playoffs and he was fired. Then, they went to the Final during their first season without him, with a roster that was virtually unchanged from the season before.
The only season under McLellan where the Sharks showed any improvement was the year after the lockout. That was also the season where the league restructured the Divisions and the schedule. Dallas (who won a Wild Card spot) was moved out of San Jose's Division and replaced by the Oilers, Canucks, and Flames (who all finished bottom six in the NHL that year).

Give me Thornton, Marleau, Pavelski, Clowe, Couture, good Heatley, prime Nabokov, Dan Boyle scoring 58 points, Rob Blake scoring 30 points at age 39, productive Malholtra, Vlasic...
The guy that made that team successful was Doug Wilson.

What does it say when the Sharks finally get over the hump and represent the Western Conference in the SCF the season after McLellan is replaced behind the bench? Sure, they made some player changes as well (Martin Jones in goal was a definite improvement), but clearly a new voice and likely new tactics were needed.

wow, unreal...
I cannot fathom how that would be even remotely ok, even for someone working in a CC.

as long as it's nicely ironed and no mustard stains it's considered business casual.
Plus sandals can't expose bare toes so you have to wear socks in your sandals.

I would never wear that, but it's common in call centres and tech companies at the moment, all over.
Not trying to defend it, but it's just stupid ridiculous this comes up. Yeah it was funny when Mike Richards did it (that soundboard!) but it isn't an Edmonton thing, it's seriously a youth thing.

Being a tag along on Babcock's staff did real good things for his career.

"Hey, New York Rangers, make sure you grab and mug McDavid at every turn.
Evidently @NHL thinks that is perfectly OK."
This is from Staples twitter account. Seriously, he needs to stop giving up, diving and whining to the refs every time this happens and it will make him a better leader.
I hope he never learns and keeps whining.
No good.

We should all exhalt McMuffin as the best player in the league, the ultimate captain, Art Ross and Hart winner that will will single-handedly lead the Oilers to multiple cups. Let´s heap all the pressure we can on them and him.

The Chicago Cubs have won their first World Series since the days of the Ottoman Empire, in the years since the Edmonton Oilers played their last playoff game.

I imagine a lot of players will be shown highlights of Kadri's game the other night. Never mind the goals, he did a fantastic job of shutting Mcdavid down. Any team that can replicate that should have success against what quickly becomes a very pedestrian roster once he is neutralized.
