I said Gallant all along, and not just because he's from my hometown lol.
Treliving really dropped the ball on this, Ward is one of the worst in the league.

How Ward can have our third pairing, and Lucic on the ice against the Leafs top line in a tie game at home late is malpractice.

Normally I'd agree that's a little trashy at the end of a game, but it's fair game with Tkachuk IMO

Muzzin doing what Chucky would do. It worked sadly.

There’s a lot of this stuff with this group. They don’t operate like a team. Don’t seem to.

They got exactly what they deserved.
And while Lucic is drawing an NHL salary, you’re getting taxi squad level results. How is he on the ice for almost 50% of the final 5 minutes...no exaggeration, check the TOI charts, he was out for 2:16 of the final 4:58. What a joke.

Not sure why he keeps throwing the Lucic/Backlund/Bennett out there when they clearly looked terrible, including at the end of the game, along with Leivo. Surely there had to be better choices left on the bench.
Waste of a comeback. I actually think getting away from home will help this team, ever since the big break they've been off. Need to find their game, including actually starting the game on time. Can't mail in the 1st period and expect to win.

Games like this one could come back to bite the Flames later in the season. Coach has to be smarter and not waste the effort, rewarding the wrong players when the game is on the line is not the answer.

I did not think it was that bad for Ward. Most games are pretty much the same from him, not a lot of highs or lows in his coaching ability.

Flames will be in a dog fight with Edmonton, Vancouver and Ottawa for the fourth and final spot. No way they finish top three. This team is the same garbage year after year.

Idk, I didn’t think what Muzzin did was terrible or anything, but it was classless.

I don’t want to crap on the owners cuz they are fantastic but man I would love to see what a top tier proven coach could do with this group.
Some really questionable decisions.

Hanifin has been the only guy who has played consistent this year. Way too many bad performances tonight. The coaching staff has A LOT to answer for too. Embarassing all the way around.
What is up with these guys? They have it in them to play great hockey but they choose to beat themselves. ####ing horse####!

Pretty funny that the panel didn't even mention the muzzin unsportsmanlike yet tkachuck getting pushed on the goalie yields two days of discussion.

For the make up of this team I actually thought Boudreau would be the better choice. He’s better at tailoring the system to the players available to him.
But to stick with Ward with both of those guys available is such a mistake and a Flames move.
