No it was a floater! It didn't have enough tail wind on it to make it hurt!

You get hit by a lot of balls, we get it. Soft balls, dry balls, hairy balls. Your a good sport to take it on the chin like that👍

You know what? No I don’t think Chucky would do that because he is a bit of a throwback. Keep it between the lines. I also realize some of you are just trolling but you just do not friggin do that. That has never been acceptable, call it an unwritten rule or whatever, that was a stupid move. Don’t shoot the puck after the whistle, don’t snow shower the goalie and don’t flick the puck at a dude after the final buzzer. You all know that was offside so stop playing like you don’t.

Like it or not this is our coach for the duration of the season. Let's give him some time to work out the kinks - he's done fairly well as a coach with them.

I have my doubts that Gallant or any other top tier coach in the NHL has Calgary on the radar.
I don't expect the Flames to fire Ward. I'm just grumpy that we're talking about this to begin with.

If you're going to make a gay joke, at least have the common decency to use proper grammar and spelling.

Seriously?

Other coaches seem to know when to staple players to the bench, and not to put your worst out against their best.

Must be nice to barely have to work for your offense.

We carried a lot of the play but the leafs needed just a couple shifts to bag two important goals.

Last game it was bounces, tonight it was opportunistic skill plays.

Do appreciate how frustrating that is from the other side.

Well, especially when the coach is playing those players who shouldn't be on the roster so much late in a tied game. The coach is an easy scapegoat when he's the one making personnel decisions and making obvious stupid decisions. I mean, it wasn't like the previous shift where the same lines were matched up was a harbinger of doom or anything? You could see a goal coming during that shift, but we lucked out and got away unscathed. But instead of learning from that brain fart Ward goes with the same match up, which results in mayhem in the Flames's zone and the puck in Calgary's net. Who else is to blame for the decision?

Pretty disappointing. Good, bad and downright ugly. The coaching is so predictable, any NHL coach can adjust quickly. And I sure would like to explain to the coach about what shortening the bench can accomplish.

Oh well, off to the road so the team can get out of town and bond.

Meh, Muzzin only did it because it was the end of the game and likely would've been a penalty if it was in game. Tkachuk's reaction as well, a product of the fact that it was the end of the game.
Juices up the TO sports reporters who grasp at anything.

That said, Tkachuk has to be more of a scoring factor 5 on 5. PP he's got his role and does it fine but he has to start producing on the second line. He's got a legit talent in Lindholm too.

Hey, neither does mine. But other than maybe watery eyes and some discomfort, that flip wasn't doing #### all.

Why on earth would you want one of your star players to ‘let it go’ when the opposition does something so blatantly unsportsmanlike? That would be an embarrassment, and anyone who thinks that was ‘textbook Tkachuk’ is caught up in headlines.

It wasn’t just classless, it was unsportsmanlike as all hell. Fitting for that team.

Yeah, Lucic and Bennett against Marner and Matthews is a home ice match up.

Man, this team would be so much better if Bennett had actually panned out.

Your team has one shot in the first period.....

Too many players , not even close prepared to win.

Can it be more simple?

Valimaki has definitely shown signs of offensive upside — but when you're the third pairing you need to play clean in your own end first and foremost. Him and Nesterov are both making some mistakes that are resulting in scoring chances or worse, ending up in our net. He’ll learn over time and hopefully Nesterov will give him some stability back there.

It was a dick move, yes. But Tkachuk's reaction was exactly what Muzzin wanted.
Now he did that on purpose!

You make a good point even if they tied it in the 3rd. They were inconsistent and Toronto took advantage of that. Flames need to be the ones dictating if they want to start climbing in the standings. All they have done with their poor start is give Toronto added confidence. If they thought they could take part of the night off and come back later in the game, they deserved the result they got!

The issue with the puck flip is a simple matter of class. It’s like how after a whistle you don’t put the puck into the other teams net. It’s not terrible or dispensable, just purely classless. The horn had gone. You won the game. Go celebrate with your team and get off the ice.
