[Trade] Oilers re-acquire Sam Gagner for Ryan Spooner

Gagner wasn't playing for Utica, so this deal gives the Canucks a player who will play in Utica and a center to replace Guadette who I believe will stay wth the big team.

A win for the Canucks farm team at the very least.

He literally can't make their NHL lineup. Played just 7 games for the Canucks this year despite them having ongoing injury problems.

Less NHL games and points this year than Alan quine.

With the way things have been going in Edmonton he'd probably get some traction with Amnesty International. This was more like a Prisoner of War trade. I'm surprised it didn't take place on a bridge.

Gagner and Canucks needed to part ways.

Spooner and the Oilers needed to part ways.

No one is going to trade anything for either.

Consequently they are traded for each other.

About all that can be done in both situations I think.

Honestly, Sam Gagner is probably the only person in the last long time who's been happy to get traded to the Oilers.
