I have to say, the one area Gio really struggles is when he blindly throws the puck up the boards. You can see the play developing when he just spins and dumps it to nobody and can get turned over easily.
Same with when he chips the puck out of the zone he tends to ice it instead of getting the puck to die in the neutral or opposition zone.

Maybe next game Stajan can slot in instead of Diaz? Take faceoffs when his pairing is up and rotate positions much like a setter in volleyball... can't be much worse.

Is there any question that Johnny is going to be a top 10 player in the league at this point?
