One of Gawdin and Buddy probably sent down.

Treliving confirmed the flu this morning for Ryan, so I expect he gets his legs back today and tomorrow and plays on Friday when he's available.
Probably see Gawdin returned tomorrow.
Curious who gets the start Friday. Logic says Talbot. So...Rittich then.

As much as I dislike Mike Stone, the Brodie-Stone pairing has outperformed the Hanifin-Hamonic pairing this season while the Hanifin-Andersson pairing has admirable underlying numbers.
Our best D pair has still been Giordano-Brodie (naturally) but we've managed to improve out blueline in the last five or so games from the rest of the season. And I'd still rather do Kylington-Brodie or Davidson-Brodie over Brodie-Stone.

Am I the only one who'd like to see Brandon Davidson getting some more minutes? I think he's a solid all-around defender.

Looks like you might get your wish, at least on Friday. Yelesin has shown well though, but I suppose against a tough veteran team you want a little more experience.
I like him too. Perfectly acceptable 6/7 D

Am I the only one that would like to keep the 3rd line and see if Ryan can jump start the 4th line?
He seems to be able to play with anyone.

That line would probably generate two shot attempts and allow none. The ultimate low-event line. I'm kind of salivating at the prospect

It's exactly what they should do, but probably won't.
If Ryan can get the 4th line contributing with Jankowski and Rieder, that would be huge.
Gaudreau - Monahan - Lindholm
Tkachuk - Backlund - Mangiapane
Lucic - Bennett - Dube
Jankowski - Ryan - Rieder

Still too many LHS. None of Mangiapane, Dube, or Rieder are entirely comfortable on that side.

Bennett has been riding hot since he's centre the line. Good chemistry with Dube and Lucic.
As Comix said, it should be, but it's not gonna.

It's a decent combo. Dube and Lucic are high hockey IQ players who gebnerally are safe with the puck (Dube's bad pass the other game notwithstanding) and good passers. Dube is fast, Bennett is close. They all have grit, of varying kinds. None of them have a whole lot of finish.
