Practices will be most welcome. As much as possible would be fine. Playing the demo I should probably refine my position preference. Until I get a better handle of the game I should probably play wing. I'm right handed, but interchangeable.
And I don't know what player names are taken, as I have never joined the EASHL before. Although I will say I have switched systems and held my own. I have a few ideas, and I'll see what is accepted. Let you know as soon as possible.
The gamertag is new too. Don't let the 0 gamerscore scare you.
I swear I'm not terrible.

15 guys on the team right now, a lot of us then. I know the game doesn't come out for another 2 days ( ), but if anyone wants to play some NHL 10 to get back in the groove let me know. I want to find a good d-partner to play with.
I play RD, with a left shot so I like to sneek in on the right side and let one-timers go. Defensively I usually stay in front of the net, or cut off the pass if possible.
Anyone play LD with a left shot who is more stay-at-home, usually doesn't pinch type d-man?

if everyone can start to cut down the positions you want to play it would be good, then we can start to solidify the roster(s) a bit more. With the fact that only one game can be going on at a time on a team, I'm thinking that we should probably end up having two teams, that way we can figure out when people play etc., so we can match up the guys who will play together more often.

You can actually have more than one game going on at once per club/team. At least that's how it was in nhl10. If we had 6 people online at one, usually we split into two groups of 3, that way everyone got to play the position they wanted.

yeah they changed it for this season. Only one game per team at a time.

As mentioned earlier I should probably play the wing until I get used to the new, well, everything. And I think I have a name....
Position: RW (preferred), LW
Name: Rusty Shackleford
When are we planning to have a first practice? What jerseys are we using? I'm assuming ComixZone is the GM? I'm not familiar at all with EASHL.

I updated my original post.
If someone wants to start a second team to cut down on wait time, that would be great. I know I usually don't log on until after 9pm most days, so maybe we can set up a team for the night owls.

Put me down as Goalie primary, LD secondary. I'll fill in anywhere else as needed, of course.
3 Justin 3 - If I get a chance tomorrow, I'll throw in NHL 10 and send an invite to you. I'd love to get some practice in ahead of Tuesday. It will be a big day

I am definitely a night owl. Usually up until 2am playing.
Just a preference, but if we aren't playing 6vs6 games I strongly suggest we use a CPU goalie over a player goalie. I think player goalies should only be used when A) it is a 6vs6 game or B) when they're team is using one and the teams are fairly large (at least 4 vs 4).
I'll narrow my positions down to RD or RW. I like playing defense, but if we are struggling on offense I'll go RW.

I don't think a 2nd team will be necessary. The only time more than 6 people will be logged in will be after Flames games. Some people will lose interest and never show up.

That's true. Last years team had like 15-20 people on it, but only 4-7 of us would ever play.

Ya if we have to we can always make another team. I think last year there was a minor league team? Would be better for the casual or developing players.
