I am always wary of players who are in the NHL going to the WJC mid season and not dominating.
On game pace alone they should heads and heels above most players. When the player shows up and looks to be the same level as those around him or in some cases below those around him, it's a bad sign for me.

I think there is too much change to draw those conclusions.

When you're still in junior, you're the guy, you're playing top line on your team, getting ice-time, getting touches, and allowed to free wheel. Confidence is at a high.

You go to the pros, and you are suddenly the worst guy on the team, a kid, getting very little ice-time, and being told to work on whatever deficiencies you have. Confidence is at a low.

Then you go to the WJCs, and expectations are through the roof, but you're not currently in a groove, and you have to re-adjust to the junior game, and it is a very short tournament and small sample size.

I think we need to be careful about being too judgemental in that situation.

If you believe that Huberdeau's play for the Flames could be salvaged, which, if any, of these possible prospects might be suitable to line up with Huby and potentially bring out the best in his game?

This thread did its job. Now, we need poll threads for possible Tanev, Hanifin, and goalie trades...
