Ahh yes. the plan-Z 'transaction of shame' to make ends meet between the pipes.

Sweet, sweet karma.

He’s pals with a buddy’s son (who’s also a goalie). Great kid I’m told. Good for him. More reasons to go to Vegas.

Along with which $5 to 7 million player to make cap room? Dadonov and Pacioretty are gone, who's next out the door to make room for shiny?

Bumped this thread because this has happened to the Sharks before. Even at the time here in San Jose people were questioning let him go because he played behind a weak team and still had close to a 0.91 save percentage and .500 record on the Sharks. Won a cup and now is probably the front runner to be the starting goalie for Canada at the 2026 Olympics.

You should've just created a new thread. This made me think the trade happened today because the trade deadline isn't too far off.

Yeah but was he gonna move the needle for them this year? I think they want to be terrible, and Kahkonen has apparenlty been quite good in respect to how they actually pay from what I read.

If I was a betting man, he wouldn't get my bet that far in the future.

Weird bump (still don't understand why it was bumped even after reading the explanation several times), but lol at this bit. So "matter of fact" sounding.

Thread title says Vegas acquires him though and he won the cup for them and is their current starting goalie. But yeah I can understand that, my bad.

Oiler fan who lives in San Jose and Hill gets brought up a lot. San Jose traded Kiprusoff was who more of an unknown at that time and Adin Hill never really got too much of a chance and some Shark fans are having flashbacks to that trade. Could have started a new thread on Adin Hill but looking back a lot of Sharks fans wanted to keep him.

Ohhh ok. I get it now. I thought maybe there was some new development in the news or something.

It is weird that the same club does the same thing with two different goalies. I still think Hill should've won the Conn Smythe.

I generally get threads off of spools. It helps when you look in the right place.

Those of us who participate in the CPHL have long been aware that Scorp has no idea what he's saying. Or doing.
