Rich get richer. I hope CLB gets a better offer than that. Strome was a garbage bin pickup just one season ago and DeAngelo has more baggage than a Kardashian family vacation.

Haha yea I agree but their value is inflated enough that they might get decent value out of them.

The Morning Show isn't about sports. They aren't there for their knowledge of hockey.
They're there for fart jokes, Rhett's dog, food and not much else.
Its a terrible waste of time on a sports station.

How is Strome/DeAngelo anywhere in the same stratosphere as Lindholm or Monahan/Hanifan/1st?

They aren’t.
Just saying I’m sure that’s what NYR would be pushing as the main NHL level pieces involved.

It's surprising that DeAngelo had more points than Dubois in fewer games, despite being a defenseman.
Yet most agree that Dubois is worth quite a bit more.
It just shows that a lot more goes into a team's success than quarterbacking a powerplay. And attitudes matter.
For this same logic, Draisaitl and McDavid are overrated.

it sometimes seems like Monahan plays the game saying things like 'sorry, excuse me coming through, beep beep, hheeyyyy!?!'

Did PLD not have Panarin on his wing for 2 years ?

I love how we’re ok to knock Dubois down a peg for playing with Panarin, but not do the same for Monahan with Gaudreau (and Lindholm for that matter).

Most good NHL players play with other good NHL players. For example, if we acquired Dubois he'd probably play with Tkachuk or Gaudreau

People are still missing the point-it's not about what PLD has done in his career up to this point. It's what he's going to become. If you believe he'll end up being the next Johansen, or the next Seguin-either way, he'll mean more to his team than whatever points he puts up. He's fast, mean, physical, plays a 200-ft game, and drives play.

It is more so that people are discounting PLDs best season was with Panarin and it doesn't matter while Monahan is only good cause of Gaudreau.

If PLD tops out as Johansen then Monahan straight across is fair.

Well, is Mony a ppg player, or a 65 pt C? Looks more like the latter. Who's better-Monahan with 65 points, or PLD with 65 points?

To be fair, everyone who goes to Nashville gets sucked in to an offensive black hole-Johansen, Turris, Duchene, Granlund....

Monahan is 0/5 in these areas.

Maybe we will know if/when Dubois hits 65 points
