Nicely done.

Johnny is going to score on that shot attempt over the goalie’s shoulder

Hopefully Rittich plays well tonight. I thought he was alright in his first outing but he has a better performance in him.

Unless Markstrom starts again, in which case—forget I said anything.

If Markstrom can go again, I’d do it. Then have Rittich play Thursday and Markstrom Saturday.

My guess is Simon draws back in with Nordstrom placed back on the rack.

Wonder if Ward goes with the same lines?

(Thanks, Dion)

Nordstrom played a solid game, I can’t see why he would be scratched.

If Johnny can play like he did yesterday then that will help. A few guys still need to get going.......Dube, Eat Bread (even though he scored), Leivo, Chucky......the team is definitely not playing their best but if they can still rack up some points while some guys are finding their game that's a positive. Need the PK to start doing better as well.

Markstrom can't play every game so this is probably a game Rittich should start. The issue is that it's been a long time since Rittich actually looked good in net for the Flames. The Habs loss wasn't on him but he also didn't play that great. It seems like he's lost his confidence. The team will have to have one of its best nights to win with him in net and truthfully the Jets don't look that great as they didn't do a lot outside of capitalize on those early powerplays. That said if Rittich starts I imagine the Jets will win.

Team really needs him. He has such a great chance to learn from another top quality goalie. Hopefully he takes it that way and has a great season.

I challenge Tanev to score from his own goal line tonight.

Hope they keep the lines that finished last night's game.

Johnny-Monahan-Bennett
Lucic-Linholm-Leivo
Mangiapane-Backlund-Tkachuk
Dube-Ryan-Nordstrom

I would switch Lucic and Dube though but they looked great in the third.

Starting Rittich is the right call for tonight. You need 25 for Thursday and Saturday

I wouldn't be at all surprised if his confidence is lacking, as the Flames have shown a lack of confidence in him when it most matters. Being supplanted by Smith for the playoffs 2 years back, then by Talbot last year and being thrown to the wolves in one game he came in in relief. Now he's been supplanted again and officially by Markstrom.

I'd feel bad too given how much water he's carried for the team in the regular season. Hopefully he can adapt. Because he's a really good goalie and the Flames need him.

IT has to be Rittich vs Brossoit tonight, I would think.

The team is starting to get into the groove. Man, would it be nice to see what this team could do with a competent coaching staff though. Hopefully a big win tonight.
