IMO the money will rotate out of TSLA and into others as the conventional makers shift to electric and prove themselves with sales and technology.
FWIW I'm not invested in any automakers and I'm not a financial advisor. I've also been known to get it wrong on TSLA many many times over the last several years. Don't get your panties in a knot you TSLA fanboys .

I would agree with this. My coworker had a E Golf while we were in Germany and it was a great car and the interior was very familiar, unlike the Tesla which is just so drab and futuristic. Tesla should do just fine, but the conventional manufactures are going to dominate the market over time. jmo.

Well aside from encouraging spending by citizens with larger bank balances in general and a GST increase I guess. This isn't the thread for this, but if I'm the government, my first priority is to stimulate spending, coinciding with that GST increase to 7-8%. The multiplier from that is far more impactful than increasing the capital gains inclusion rate.

I was reading up on this, it sounds like it is speculation as you mention, people are speculating after a CIBC report came out that said only 10% of Canadians would be affected by a Capital Gain Inclusion increase (which isn't too shocking with TSFAs). So people are speculating that it would more politically achievable than a GST hike.

This is going down the tax policy rabbit hole but from a tax policy standpoint if I was government I would bifurcate capital and redefine the tax act to account for the promotion meaningful spending (ie. actual capital assets, tangible and intangible) versus capital gains on investments including equities and speculative assets such as bitcoin.

Man, EEENF has been having a rollercoaster week. Looks like a lot of people got out and made a #### ton of money yesterday on the surge and small pump. But the big growth is likely going to happen next week after they announce their Merlin 1 play is looking like a win, with a likely connection into the Trans-Alaskan pipeline system via the Umiat oil field (proposed to be connected as part of their larger Project Peregrine drilling area).
If anyone wants a cheap stock (0.055 today) that could potentially grow to 0.2 by next week and has some risk tolerance, this is a great one to get into.

So where do you come up with the 0.2 potential? Its a pink sheet stock that according to the company has no idea why shares would have gone up.
shares rocketed in late-afternoon trading on Monday, although the company said it is not aware of any specific reason for the increase. https://ca.proactiveinvestors.com/co...on-943861.html

Air Canada's takoever of Air Transat isn't happening
Quote:
Air Canada dropped its takeover of vacation operator Transat AT Inc. because it couldn’t convince European regulators to approve the deal on acceptable terms.
Canada’s largest airline said it offered a “significant package of remedies” to satisfy the European Commission’s concerns the merger would reduce competition on flights between EU countries and Canada.......

I sense an imminent bailout on the horizon
