I saw this, an interesting way to earn crypto - through wireless network hotspot broadcasting. Then connected devices burn HNT credits.

So you mine HNT with the provided device (just sits on your window), and devices connecting and using the internet create data credits out of the HNT.

I guess it's a way to control HNT "inflation" and reward heavier hotspots? Economies of scale, so to speak.

It seems quite complicated, but almost an ingenious way to build a grassroots wireless coverage network separate from traditional telecom companies.

Legally, you're supposed to treat each transaction, even from one crypto to another, as a taxable event. The exchanges will provide a list of trade transactions but it's still up to you to determine the CAD value for that transaction.

To add to this, the transaction summaries are not the easiest things to decipher. There are now websites with crypto tax software that will compile and decipher your summaries from all your exchanges and wallets. Koinly and CryptoTaxCalculator are two that I'm aware of.

I like Shakepay. Mostly because you can get free Satoshis by just shaking your phone once a day. Yes that’s right, you literally shake your phone. Keep a daily shake streak long enough and you can make some pretty decent Sats.

Download the app Shakepay and start the verifying process. Might take a day or so. This is known as KYC “Know Your Customer” which is done because of anti money laundering, and other government mandates. You can e-transfer yourself which is the easiest method of funding your account and only takes minutes to appear. If you do use this exchange, I recommend you manually input the referral code because I had problems with it when clicking on referral link (which just takes you to the app). If you fund your account $100 or more then you’ll receive $30 as a signup bonus. And you’ll also get access to the daily free shakes that grants the Sats.

https://shakepay.com/add-referral

Use referral code:

Regarding Wallets. I like the Ledger Nano X. It’s user friendly, and has Bluetooth capability. So no need to connect it to a computer. Yes, they did have a data leak summer last year where customers names and emails were stolen. This info was taken from the customers who had ordered a product. They claim that anyone who ordered the device, there info was saved as marketing info internally. The device itself was not compromised. If your looking for a sale, it only goes on sale during Black Friday.

There’s other competition out there like the Trezor, but I haven’t tried it.

If you're just looking for an easy in/easy out interface that you can buy coin in and sit on it forever, CoinBase is probably the best bet.

If you don't want to get nickle and dimed to death on transaction costs and are looking to day trade/short sell with a larger selection of tokens, Canada has the benefit of access to the full version of Binance (not the crippled US one).

I have a 10%/10% trading fee referral link if you want to get even batter trade fee costs:

Has anyone here actually cashed out using Coinbase? Looking at their BBB page it's a train wreck. Same on trustpilot.com.

Yeah no issues.

The issue is almost guaranteed to be the people who sign up under a fake name or someone elses name and then need to prove their identity before withdrawing.

If you are a real human with a real bank you will have no issues

I bought some using Binance. I have a Coinbase account and transferred some BTC to Binance and used that to purchase Doge

I think it's time to relocate to a different time zone. Highs are always hit between 2-6am here. Those are my 4 sleeping hours.

I use Coinbase as my main exchange. Anything I mine from Nicehash goes into Coinbase. I have Paypal setup as a withdrawl method, although I haven't actually done one yet.

I also have a Binance account where I can purchase alt coins that are not listed on Coinbase. I transfer BTC to Binance and purchase using that.
