The good news is play has started today and Kyrgios and Delpo are currently slugging it out in the first set.

And going back a few pages to Vasek's comments on pay - there is a lot of chatter from players lately about that. Wouldn't surprise me if we're only a couple years away from a unionization effort.

Funny you say that as I was just thinking the exact opposite this week. To me, Shapo has really flat lined over the last 4 months. He seems to be caught in no mans land tactically and hasn't yet established himself as a credible server. The good thing with him is he's so damn talented he can get himself out of jams quite easily.
Hiccups are to be expected as a young player, you just need to hope that he sorts out the lengthy lapses in matches that seem to continually cost him. Milos on the other hand seems to just need a 5-6 month stretch of good health to get back to the top 10 level, I have been really impressed with his play when he's been healthy since the start of the grass season.

Pretty good match between Delpo and Kyrgios as they have split the first two sets with each going to tie-breakers. TSN3 is showing the conclusion of this match.

Delpo took a long bathroom break before the start of this 3rd set and it obviously rattled Kyrgios as he is broken to start this set.

Just to drive this point home, since Shapo beat Milos in Madrid, here are their match win-loss records:
Denis: 11-11
Milos: 13-4

how much is Milos' extra rest going to factor in? Djoker only had to polish off one set today, but does that mean he'll need a bit of time to turn around and quickly reset, or is he basically now just warmed up?
dammit what a crazy double dose of tennis, and I can't even be home to watch a minute of it.

I'm hoping TSN3 is going to switch to the Milos - Joker match once it starts.

They are warming up as I type. Probably two minutes away.
Edit: Yes, they switched and here we go.

This first service game for Milos is taking longer than the first set between Fed and Mayer.
Edit: 14 minutes and 18 seconds to hold serve.

That is an impressive early service hold by Milos. Really like the fight and assertive groundstrokes he is showing out there today against a very dialed in Djokovic. This may be the best Milos has played in 1.5 years today.

Had to chuckle at the look on Novak's face after Milos fired that ace.

You don’t see Djoker smash the raquet like that usually.

Yes Milos breaks!! Novak is an amazing player (top 5 all time easily) but man when he loses it on court like that I can't stand it. You never see Fed/Nadal do anything like that.

Really wondering how Milos didn't win that set. Fantastic tennis nonetheless.
The big number - only 51% of first serves in for the big man. That will rise and give him a good shot at turning this around.

That's the thing, his serve is actually the worst part of his game today, solid ground strokes from both wings today.
