Rollercoaster of a morning

My first assumption was that they would play as they were out for so long. Fingers crossed.

Massive game. we win this one and we are in the driver's seat to win the conference and lock up home ice all the way to the Cup.

Hope this is a statement game from Rittich.

Need this win to make up for that 4 game losing streak.

If Monahan and Bennett are out, I hope Peters really uses a blender tonight and tries a few different things - Jankowski 1st line centre; Lindholm at center, Czarnick 2nd line wing. I expect Gaudreau will be double shifted often in the third.

Peaking too soon? I don't think Vegas is peaking, I think they were a strong playoff team that added one of the best two way forwards in the league.

I know the big consensus on CP is that adding guys at the deadline barely moves the needle, but I don't think this is like that. They added a true star forward who plays unreal in his own zone and can score.

Two others things to consider a) He pushed everyone down the line-up creating a chain reaction of stronger lines, and b) I think the contract changes everything in terms of Mark Stone and his teammates mindsets.

He's part of the team, and they're a contender now.

A win tonight to get a 3 point cushion on the Sharts would be excellent. Need a solid effort all through the lineup to take one.

We need to take this game seriously. Columbus is still battling for their playoff lives, so we need to bring our A game.

Sportselect Info
Flames Win = 1.9
OT = 3.6
Columbus Win = 2.7
Over 6.5 = 1.75
Under 6.5 = 1.65

With the Flames' recent injuries, I think Columbus may be deeper at the forward positions than Calgary is right now. We will have to get an early lead, defend well, and count on BSD to get the big two points tonight. I think they can get it done, but Columbus is desperate enough to get an OTL. 3-2 Flames during the 3 on 3.

After watching the Lazar interview, it sounds like he’s fully expecting to get his first game of the season today. Peters probably just playing games with the media

I wonder if Grats is going to pull double duty and work security between the dressing rooms again?

Once again a good team that will present a challenge. CGY have been great at focusing on themselves and what they do best. The depth CGY has will be required to step it up again and we've seen them come through in tight games. CGY just has to play their game and make some plays!

I heard on the radio shortly ago that Bennett and Monahan are out, and Quine and Lazar are in

I'd like to see Lindholm centering the top line. Nothing against Janko or Ryan, they just aren't top 6 players. Only problem I guess is the lack of a good RW option at that point.
