This is always a fun thread....thanks CoR.

Mixed team figure skating eh? Ummm...is this something that's been seen before and my increasingly poor memory strikes again, or is this something new that just sounds odd to me?

Are the Swiss throwing the game? They just threw 3 clean misses.

Crazy Australia has an Olympic curling team. Just googled my local Brisbane curling options and there is one ice rink that changes to curling from April to November on Wednesdays 9-11pm.

Yes it debuted in 2018 and Canada won gold. You can pretty much have mixed anything, just add up individual events into one.

They were coached by Morris! They sacrificed 3 years in Canmore to try to make it.

NBC's coverage of these Olympics is unbearable already. I tried to watch some tonight because they were showing freestyle skiing but they ended up having more political coverage of the games than actual sports. I fully understand that the underlying political and civil issues are a big part of these games but now that the athletes are there and the games are happening I would like to watch the events without a lot of political interjection.

I love watching mix doubles curling, it’s a very high event sport!

Just a reminder that CBC's website has commercial free streaming of all events! It's the best way to watch everything.

Figure skating in an empty rink feels extra empty

Also, these meh ice dancers remind me of how amazing Virtue and Moir were.

Watching a bit of Denmark vs China in hockey. Red and white vs. white and red. Impossible to tell them apart other than the occasional player with long golden hair which I will assume is a Dane.

Caught some of the practice for downhill on NBC last night. That ski run looks 100% man made and not even on a true ski hill.

EDIT: It is 100% man made snow, never tested before but competitors seem to like it.

Is it creepy for a brother and sister to be an ice dance team? Seems a bit intimate.
