Yes, in hindsight that Lazar tattoo was unwise.

Why don't people just get temporary tattoos, like those I got in my Kiss Alive II album?

I used them in 1977.

WTF?
At least there's some precedence with earrings so it's not all that unbelievable people are surprised. Earrings cause hole->take out earrings->hole closes on itself. It's just a matter of how big of a hole before it becomes obvious that it won't be reversible.

However, size isn't the only issue. If you enlarged properly and slowly, you wont have scar tissue and the chances of reversing back are far greater. I think you'll actually be surprised how big of a hole, done properly, will repair itself. This isn't like jhunt223's girlfriend's vag while they were separated.

I had a cover up done earlier this year, while overall I'm much happier with the work it's not one of those "you can't even see it anymore!" cases.

I also ended up with a piece that's about 2.5 times bigger than what I had. Which I don't mind as isn't a problem in my line of work, but this won't be true for everyone.

Plus with the current trend of large bold pieces that's starting to pop-up online.... well covering up something like these is gonna be a challenge.

Not mine, but samples from online that are starting to pop-up
Spoiler!

I'm about to get old crotchety grampa, but some of the ink popping up today would make a better spring break tank top print than a permanent piece. And then there's the pop-culture (marvel, pokemon, gaming) full sleeves... I hope you like The Avengers as much in your 40s as you did at 24.

Did you seriously get a tattoo of 'Poochy' before he went back to his home planet?

I think he's using these as examples of hard tatoos to cover up.

That's not mine, I'm not nearly cool enough to pull off a Poochy tattoo.
